As noted by wilam above, Europeans have traditionally taken the opposite approach by deleting badges on the higher performing models. More PC to have a small-engined car there, and it keeps the enthusiasts wondering what just blew by them on the autobahn.

I had to pick this option when I got my GT3, then picked option CUC to get GT3 badge painted body color. It did not make sense that I had to delete first then add painted badge back in.

It makes perfect sense.

The standard build order is to attach a silver colored emblem - the car comes with it as part of the standard build. You need to drop that from the build order so that the custom CUC option can be added to it. Otherwise some idiot assembler will be trying to add both, because both are on the build order.

Good one!

I'm surprised you didn't post this in the "Badge removed....what do you think?" thread.

But you're right, funny no one thought of that famous movie quote!

I had deleted my M3 badge.

The only thing that stops me with the carrera is that people might think it's because Im pretending its an S which I'm not, (because then i would be also trying to switch the exhaust pipes which I am certainly not.

In the end I might just put on a body colored badge rather than the silver.

Little pieces of lint (or whatever) around the badge doesn't bother me.

I use the 5 foot test: If something is not visible on the outside of the car beyond 5 feet no one will notice and I will not care.
