I don't use the rear seats in my '06 C4S and am thinking of taking them out. I know the rear bottom cushions are velcro'ed in and come out easy; however, has anyone taken the top portion out?

 

I'll be attempting that soon in my 997 Coupe so so that I can attach my son's car seat and create a little more room. I'll take pics and post them.

 

Started to remove the backs but then figured I'd use them as flat surface to keep my jackets etc from wrinking too much. They also provded cover to hide your camera and stuff out of sight. The fact that they "fold" out of the way by being placed upright, also kinda voids any reason to remove them. Too bad they didn't weigh 50 lbs, then there'd be an overriding reason to remove them.

I just want to pull the seat backs without damaging them and then put them back in when I trade.

 

i have the rear seats out. one bolt on each side and one in the center under the plastic cover.
