It was sooo funny as the Lambo pulled up to me - guns his engine and then floors it - only to see me pull along side of him and then continue on past...

Don't know what transpired that day (or what the spec's might say on paper) but I'm glad it "went down as it did" cause I got some fun pictures to share with my Porsche buddies...

He probably chickened out. That Gallardo is one fast car... when it works... my friend's has been in the shop 10 times in 6 mths of ownership. Things falling apart. But it is a brutally fast car and that Ebox shifter is pretty good too. Sigh to have a 6 speeder sequential like that on an 997S.

No - I know what the car does - I also know on the track I can beat 911's with my Boxster vindicating that a car with less power can beat a more powerful car if the driver is better so if we were on a track and I was really racing this guy (something I would never do on a public road) and I was the better driver these pictures could then be plausible...

I hope you will read the post a second time and enjoy this post as what it is meant to be - a few pictures that give a fun perception of two great vehicles on the road - and as the pictures are presented something that gives us Porsche folks a fun laugh.

It is possible that you caught him in the wrong gear. That has happened to all of us I am sure. Some guy darts on you when you think "it's over"

Anyway, that's what real racing is about and you cannot do that on the streets around me any more.

had same situation, the two of us accelerating uphill in a tunnel tunning through the gears, i was in my then standard 's' coupe and the lambo behined, i could get away from the lambo and he passed me with ease, as we slowed for a corner and he backed off blue flames enveloped his exhaust tips. the hairs on my arms went up.
