Default Help me pick new wheels . . .

Champion RG5s or Kinesis F110s?

I have a 997S in Atlas Grey and have been thinking about new rims for the car.

Let me know what you think.

Thanks.

The more you see of those sweet calipers the better. I vote Kinesis.

have you considered the champion rg5 monolite titaniums? they look like the regular monolites with titanium bolts around the perimeter of the wheel. i have them on my s cab - don't have any pics right now, but there was a thread here or on rennteam with some pics.

Simpler is better. Top ones look like BMW, where you have a bulky car and need busy-er wheels to balance it out (distract you from the bulkiness?). Bottom simpler ones look more complementary to the Carrera; the car has the great looks and they should be emphasized and the wheels should not call alot of attention themselves or at least they shouldn't add more visual elements (like more complex angled and doubled spoke pattern). All the "shoulds" are ways of thinking about solving the problem by putting the P-car's aesthetics before the wheels; in the end you're allowed to do what you want.

That's my car with the newly installed RG5's at Wheel Enhancement. I looked for months and went around and around over choices, including Kinesis, HRE and others. A year later, I still love the RG5's and wouldn't change my decision.

I like the spoke pattern of the Champions, but I'd go with the Kinesis F110s for the great inset lip on them. That just rocks in real life.

The lips on the RG5's are very deep. Here's a better pic:

RG5s. Very racy, they have a performance-minded upgrade look to them.

Crazy Canuck I would have to say the F110 seeing as how the car from the Wheel enhancement site is actually my car I did the full polish on those and I get compliments everywhere I go.
