But you ARE getting a C2S not a C4S, right?
I presume US and EU cars are the same but I don't know for sure.

Yes I am planning on a C2S, currently thinking of GT silver with Ocean Blue leather and a few other options (BTW leather interior, grey top tint and PDE are included as standard in UK).

I have the same problem with my drive....it's weird, I can get it at an angle without scraping the plastic strips, but when I back out at an angle I scrape the plastic about 50% of the time !! I decided to let the plastic strips scrape, rather than spend 5-10K on a new drive. Eventually they will wear down enough to stop the scraping and I can always replace them in the future.

It's been the understanding that US cars ride higher because of the US Department of Transportation minimum bumper height requirement. I've been pursuing the facts to that effect but have not been successful in uncovering the actual numbers. Seems that there is a deliberate attempt to keep us from knowing the truth.

Btw, nice color combo!

After an unsuccessful attempt to get a demonstrator 997 Cab to negotiate my drive's approach angle I gave up on my dreams of owning a 997 - for almost a week.

Armed with a few dimensions from Porsche technical support I set about the construction of a space frame to represent the critical aspects of the 911 ground clearance, approach and departure angles. I used this model to explain to the contractors the problem and they've used it to adjust the drive profile. The job should be completed next week, another demonstrator car visit is scheduled for Monday morning as a final check before the final top surface dressing goes on. - wish me luck. All being well I'll be placing an order in a few weeks time for a C2S, 2007 build.

Nice wheels

The boundary of my drive is marked by the light coloured concrete edging, but it was necessary to raise the footpath slightly to achieve the desired result.

Cheers mate, I respect and appreciate and will probably emulate your "approach" to this problem!
