Default advice requested re: oil quantity/pressure

I filled up my baby today..about 1600 miles on it (C2S Cab). When I started the engine, it stated that the oil level was "low". I stopped the vehicle immediately, turned off the engine waited a few moments and restarted it. The error message disappeared. However, the oil pressure guage was reading about 2-3 while stopped idling. Usually it is up around 4. After a couple of engine revs however, the guage came back up to around 4 and I had no further problems all day.

Got home and ran an oil check after letting it sit for about 10 minutes and it showed about 5-10% below the dead center of the gauge. I RTFM and it says that oil pressure is supposed to be around 3.5. Mine is almost always between 4-5 when I'm driving.

Comments and thoughts are appreciated....am I just being paranoid or is this an issue for the service gnomes? Thanks
