Ive seen some referneces to putting 305sx19s on the rear of 997Ss instead of the stock 295 size. Is this a recommended upgrade?

The 305's come standard on the C4S (or C4 fitted with 19's) to fill out the fenders a bit better on its J-Lo booty.

I saw a standard Carrera with the 305's fitted at the car show last week and they actually stick out a bit from under the fenders (but only just).

I guess it's a question of preference, really.

 

The 305s are standard fare on the XRR wheels, as they are 19 x 11.5 vice the usual 11.

Hey Flash, I'd heard of 305s on the back of C2S also. I'd be interested to know if you go that route. Please let us know if you do.
