BEN, with PSE it does sound like a "bad-*** race car".

Mine have PSE and the first 10-20 sec it sound like there is no Muffler at all, quite nice but I dont know what it is? It comes when the rpm is little higher in the begining, like 1300-1600rpm and goes away if I put in a gear and lite the RPM go down a little or just wait 20 sec.

coochas is correct. It's the different mapping for choke when cold.

Sounds like a popcorn machine on cold startup. I have PSE.

Someone mentioned earlier that the Motronic fiddles with the mixture to get the catalysts to light off quickly. If this is true, it could be the reason for the bangin' and poppin'.

I don't care. I love it.

Also, Fokker - I see the same behaviour on startup - apparently, even if Sport mode is off (when does that ever happen on my car?!?) - the PSE baffles are open until the computer decides to energize the solenoid to close them.

I'm not going to second-guess Motronic. It's smarter and faster then I am.

Popcorn Machine on startup, Racetrack Odors on shutdown. Porsche is #1!

exactly. I love that sound. ....IMO Porsche's don't really even need a setero. That exhaust note is to die for!!
