Regardless, I stand by my rationale. The Turbo is for a different type of driver who is less "purist" and more interested in buying the top of the line car with all the bells and whistles.

With respect to your purist remark I find that somewhat disingenuous. You are buying an expensively optioned (X51) high performance car and willing to be
slower in performance? That should make for some interesting discussions after you are blown away by a Turbo and you say well "I am more of a purist than the TT owner."

I have a naturally aspirated 2WDcar with more CC's,HP and I believe Torque than the 996GT3, that will do sub 4.4 0-60 and top end of 187. I have no intention of tracking the car. Now really, where is anything really going to "blow me away"

some of us simply dont like turbos and some even perfer gayman like myself. in fact i am only interested in cayman or GT3, no other porsches TT, TTS or GT2 interest me. i have been offered no storied low mileage GT2 for 110k by a friend. i much rather drive a cayman than a GT2.

FWIW, dealers are deeply discounting all S cars with the TT/GT3 coming out. A guy here in LI got 10k off a new C4S with an X51 recently. Rumor has it that '07-'08 S cars may have the X51 std.
