Dealers in my immediate area would not discount. I went 40 miles away
and received a $7000.00 discount on a 102K C4S. All three of the local dealers said they will service my car, one dealer even said he will give me
a loaner.

you seem to have gotten a c4s launch car-black with tan leather interior. you are correct, you can get a screaming deal on one of those. i was making that same point on this board to a bunch of people who were concerned that the possible strikes in germany would prevent their ordered cars from getting here on time. if you shop in the right area, and you are willing to select a car from the huge amount of cars that are already in the dealer's stock, you can save a great deal. i was going to order a c4s, until i found a dealer that wanted to give an 11k discount off of a brand new c4s launch-my decision was made for me. all people have to do is go on the porsche web site, search the dealer's stock, and begin to shop. good luck with your car.
