Default Curious........

Just out of curiosity......does anybody know if the rear retractable spoiler on the couple raises higher/lower/same compared to the cabrio version?

Anybody have any spec on the retractable spoiler?

I wouldn't think so.
would require a different raising mechanism, and require differetn program software....
seems like a pain in the as for little gain

The cabrio tail comes up at the same times and lowers the same,--but it goes up about 20mm or 25mm higher,--to compensate for the roof, or lack thereof.

So.......if I had the coupe, could I ask my tech to adjust my spoiler to raise as high as the cabrio version?

In aerodynamics, 'higher' may not equate to 'better.' What you do get is a higher spoilage of the air over the car and one of the trades that Porsche elected to accept was a higher .cd value for the cabs over the coupes,--to retain better road-holding and tracking adherance,--thus the reason for the higher physical positioning of the cab tail. It's the same tail as that on the coupe, of course,--it merely is commanded to go up higher. I don't know whether they achieve this with a different physical 'stop' inside the tail assembly or through a more complex software call out to the spoiler motor. I suspect it is the former.
