Regular 997 bra? not a clear bra...
does anyone make a regular bra for 997"s I can't seem to find anyone that sells one.
Seems like most of you guys like clear bras (I have one on my boxster) -they are OK buy don't seem to protect against the large road debris.
So when I take trips I like a conventional black bra -ugly or not
Anyone know if one is available

There are plenty of conventional bras out there for the 997. (By the second production year the bugs are worked out). I personally don't care for the 3M treatment and intend to use the conventional front stone mask (bra) when touring in Europe and the states when I return.

Check out Speed Lingerie. They make bras and mirror covers that are colored to match your car. Here is the link. BTW, I have no affiliation with Speed Lingerie.

Orient Express, who usually hangs out on the 996 Forum, has these on his Orient Red 996 Cab.

Gota: I tried a Speed Lingerie bra on my 993. Their fasteners were impossible to work, so they are nice looking but not practical (unless they've improved). I returned mine.

Call Colgan, don't email.
They never responded to my email.
What they'll tell you is to order it straight from Colgan's website--I have one for my club coupe. If you want to see it, PM me and we can meet up somewhere convenient this weekend. The part numbers are in the new applications button, and then you purchase it through the website--use 911 Carrera, then don't specify type and put model year 2006. It took about 3 weeks to get mine--I bought the w/o loop over the fenders, but should have got the other one that loops over the fenders. The one I have leaves the painted section between the headlights and the hood uncovered vs. the looped ones which cover it.
The bras for the S and non S are the same, btw.

Paul!
That's exactly what I needed. I'm definetly going with the over the fenders. I had one for the boxster w/o and got a nasty (really BIG) chip that wouldn't have happed with an over the fenders type. Learned my lesson
I would love to see the club coupe (and the bra..). I'll PM; this weekends out, though. we'll find a mutually agreeable time/place
thanks again
