How did you disconnect the front airbags? A switch? My car seat is in the backseat and it's a pain to get my 3 yr old in without shifting the seat fully out of the way. I don't put the child seat in the front as of now because of the side and front airbags. Been looking for someone to install an on/off switch.

Hi, I'm waiting for my 4S and them I will take my daughter to preschool everyday. She is 16 months old, which child seat do you use? I'm thinking to use the rear seats, is it possible?

My first ride in a Porsche was in the back seats (both) of a 1976 Turbo. Wow, what a great ride. I was hooked for life.

I've mentioned it before in previous threads on car seats for kids, but I car pool my 5 year odl daughter and 4 year old next-door-neighbor boy to preschool in my 997S on some days! On most winter days in Wisconsin, the Cayenne is the car pool vehicle though. Of course, when it is a fairly long trip, my daughter's preference is for the R-class so she can watch her DVDs in the back. She also has separate headphones that she can plug in and listen to SAT or CD while my wife and I listen to something else up front, Hate to say it on the 997 forum, but that R500 is the ultimate family machine!

Do a search in the 997 forum for "car seats" or "child seats" and you will find a lot of prior discussions. But quickly, I ended up with the leather Eddie Bauer forward facing convertible seat, first because the base is not as wide as some and fits well in the back seats, and second because it looks good with my Black/Black 997S. The main thing is to make sure the base fits well.

I use the Recaro Bellini with audio child seat. Fits almost all ages from 20lbs - 80lbs and 9mths to 12 yrs. Just barely fits in the rear seat at the back of the passenger seat but you will have to adjust the seat forward. Great seat but I've never seen them in the US. Bought it in Italy.

One of the main reasons I purchased a 911 was because of the rear (all be them small) seats. My 6 and 9 year olds fit in them fine, and they love riding around in the car. Although it isn't my everyday driver.
