Exhaust Tips Question
The standard mufflers are the same on C2 and C2S, so at least in theory the S tips should fit, unless there is some difference in the cutout on the rear bumper (which I highly doubt). And yes, the 05 and early 06 S tips have been recalled.
I do not believe that they will fit. All the tip manufacturers specify S or Carrera. There is a solution I believe: http://www.cargraphic.de/index.php?/s,6,7,18,1771,1947/ They have an adapter at the bottom of the page. You can also try here: http://www.cargraphic.de/stepone/dat...0/997_1105.pdf
The Carrara S exhaust tips don't fit the Carrera (non S)...because the diameter for the S is larger. But the adapter kits should definitely work. If you remove your exhaust tip, there is a metal bushing inside. Instead of the adapter kit, you can overlap the S bushing on top of the Carrera bushing and the tips will fit.

Okay - I have it solved now!
The exhaust pipe for the S is about a 1/2" bigger than the non-S. So you need to get something to make up that difference. Assuming you already have the dual exhaust tips in hand, what you need to do is go to your local Pepe Boys/AutoZone type store and buy a 2 1/4" bushing (which costs like $3.00 a piece). Take off the exhaust tip on your non-S and then take out the bushing thats in it already. Place the 2 1/4" bushing you bought from your local auto store into the circular opening in the back for the dual exhaust tip. Then place the bushing from your old exhaust tip into the 2 1/4" bushing. Then place the dual exhaust tip into the tailpipe and tighten the lug nut. It took me a few times to get the new dual exhaust tip centered properly but I finally got it in the spot where I wanted it.
