Default possible ipod connection

These folks have something for up to year 2004. They take notification info for updates and support porsche. Maybe if they get bombarded enough for us 997'ers they will work it out. They work with fiber optic MOST systems.

They showed their adapter back at CES in Vegas, January 2005.
To date, they have still not delivered a product; everytime someone emails, you get the 'any day now'.
Last update was March 2006.
It's been discussed (and laughed about) in the Cayenne forum to death.....do a search for 'dension' or 'ipod' in the Cayenne forum for all the details, technical and humorous.

The fact that they apparently have something for the Mercedes MOST system (which didn't exist while I had my 04 E500) is [to me] encouraging. At least someone has "cracked the code" in one application.

Did you mean Mercedes MOST or Mercedes D2B?
Both are optical based systems, but they are VERY different from one another.
Where did you read that Dension is offering a MOST system, for any vehicle?

This is a quote from the linked page:

The first iPod integration kit for the "M.O.S.T. fibre optic" system...
The ice>Link Fibre is the ice>Link Plus for fibre optic vehicles. The ice>Link Fibre is the first of its kind, letting you integrate the iPod into the fibre optic component loop found in many new vehicles. The M.O.S.T. system is a growing technology that will soon be found in the majority of tomorrows vehicles.

I guess I'm taking it at face value that they're addressing MOST systems... Anyway, I'm not guaranteeing that they are. Its just another possible source for a solution ...
