Way too much analysis. I live on LI and have owned convertibles since 1988. I currently have 2005 Cab and when the weather is right and the top is down there is no better feeling. The top on this car is tight so I don't have any wind whistles or leaks (knock on wood). With the top up it is a little noiser than a coupe but who cares, it's a porsche.

Rob-you are right about the C4S! My main problem is I drive over 50 miles on the turnpike each way to and from work and just don't feel safe enough with bad weather, etc., there are too many nuts on the road and too much debris flying all around from the trucks, etc.

I am moving to bergen county in the next few months...at that time I will drive the P-Car a lot more...

Personal pref, just don't think a 996/7 cab looks as good as the coupe, the 993/964 were a different story.

I can understand that. My commute is 110 miles round trip and you will get little stone marks and more tire wear, but it's nothing very serious.
