Sounds like a great car! I also would reconsider the 461 antenna option, but I think you are on the right track with the XPA steering wheel, especially if you have large hands.

I'd second the alum footrest delete. For one thing, it's a $169 part from Suncoast. Secondly, it's still 99% plastic. Its a farce. Go with the Ruf Pedals IMO.

Natural leathers will require more maintenance, fyi.

Mine worked great in my previous car. It even helped me twice when I had a flat signalled early.

Hey Dane, congratulations!

You might be able to see your car coming off the boat if the 24th St Terminal cam is on:

Dane,

Nice car. There is nothing wrong with White. All the factory Porsche cup cars are delivered in white. White is a cool color.

Best Wishes and post some pics when you get it.

I would suggest getting something like a sharkfin antenna or a stubby rod antenna in lieu of the awkwardly placed factory optional rod antenna

You could probably do better on the spacers if you order them and install them yourself. I think Coochas had a good price from Sunset.

I have the Carbon pkg. as well and I like it. Think about closing the door on silver seatbelts. They will show every speck of dirt/grease and IMO do not improve the appearance of the interior.

I prefer the black guages to the std. silver ones so that's what I ordered but it is not a common option. I too would skip the aluminum footrest thing.

Can't speak for Porsche's system but works flawlessly in the Benz.

Hey all, thanks for all of your comments and encouragement. Unfortunately, the order's locked in so I can't heed any of your suggested changes. Though, with benefit of hindsight, many of them are indeed very good suggestions. I have come to learn (after the fact) that the footpedals are indeed much cheaper, better and all-inclusive when added after-market. The full carbon (or indeed full leather!) console would've been nice, but the car was starting to become WAY expensive once it crept into 6 figures. And besides, If I were really going to go mad, throw caution to the wind and spend, spend, spend, then I would've gone for X51 and PCCB. As regards Bose, I'm a professional musican so I don't mix business with pleasure, if you know what I mean. And yes, I really do listen to AM a lot, and I know that dwelling in urban L.A. I don't need the antenna but I think it sorta looks cool. To each his own.
The natural grey leather is another thing I didn't think about till too late - would've been nice. And I know I could've done better with the wheel-spacer, too. Still, we're on this earth to learn, and as they say in Ireland: "It's better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick".
Thanks again, and good luck dane with the white car. I, for one, will be most anxious to see photos of it.
