Just ordered a set from tirecradle.com. This forum is great, but my wallet keeps opening up unexpectedly!!

tirecradle.com, gee now why didn't I think of that? Trust me is you store you car for longs periods of time and like some Porsche owners do you will want them for sure. They will prolong the life of those $450 Pilots.

Thanks for that Raklaw.

Honestly I do drive my cars, but we just had like 24inches of snow last weekend and there is still some around plus all that salt on the roads. I had the 997S out 3 weeks ago. I do drive my cars in the winter, just not nearly as much as in the warmer months.

BTW...I hope you are happy with yourself...Do you know how many people you've 'made' buy those illuminated door sills? I just had them installed today....completely indulgent but boy oh boy do they look SWEET!! There's a security camera right next to my car, so I'm having to ration how often I go down to the garage and stair at an open car door.....The security guys already think I'm a wack job with my obsessive car cleaning....I fear they may call the men in white coats if I spend any more time down there!!

The car has just had a spring makeover...Illuminated door sills, Porsche sport exhaust, Chrome wheel bolt covers, Alulook gas cap (with text inlay painted black) and on Friday a semi annual full paintwork detail (acrylic sealant and then a topper of Pinnacle Souveran wax)...I use a detailer I found on Autopia come and do the paint, as I don't feel comfortable using a porter cable....can't wait!! Gotta go...I've got some door sills to look at
Thanks jfraser, Yeh those illuminated door sills are sweet. I just had to take some pics and post them. I just figured most folks that have never seen them will want a set once they see them. As you now know they do look awesome.

Wow you car sounds nice. Please post some pics. Did you say Chrome wheel bolt covers?? Is that a Porsche part?
