Coochas I wasn't even aware you had seen it.
Or are you just pretending to seem cool?

I worked a ton of hours this week so I had my computer on "record" mode which captures all Rennlist activity (including deletions etc).

This could have been one of these threads with a 1,000,000 hits. The substance was there, the context was right, the timing was perfect. I am glad that I was a momentary witness to something that generations and generations after us would still have passed on to their children. But, alas, it was deleted.

Ok, Ben, it's time to "let the cat out of the bag" (sorry for using that phrase Dave, but it fits so well here). Last night, when I saw his Deleted thread, I said to myself, "Self, lets see if we can have a little fun with this thread and see if we can 'make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.'" So I posted, "Nice thread, though." just to see what would happen. Well, Vancouver replied and kept it going. Next Soulteacher jumped in, followed by Coochas. The cameo appearance by MrBonus helped too. Once it got rolling, it was fun to watch a thread with no topic grow to two pages! I figured that the moderators would have killed this thread long ago.

What was really the "icing on the cake" was your second post that actually nailed it:

Hey, in the Seinfeld tradition, I think we have here a thread about nothing. ... And that's something!
When I read that post, I was literally laughing so hard my eyes were watering!

We love ya, Ben! Thanks (in advance) for being a good sport!

Well, there's certainly something to be said about nothing. That's for sure. After all, it bought Jerry Seinfeld and company nine years' worth of episodes. ... We're at, what, two pages of nothing so far? I wouldn't be surprised if this thread about nothing grows to be 9 pages long! ... That woud be something, wouldn't it?

You know, what's really funny is that this thread will continue to get views from people thinking that something must be going on in a thread that looks like it was deleted but yet it's still alive and growing.

And they'll continue to view it 'cuz they don't want to miss out on anything that might be going on or is about to happen at any moment. Kinda like watching a car chase on tv. You don't want to look away at the wrong moment and then waste all that time you've invested staying glued to the set.
