ACDC - Girl's Got Rhythm
Gotta agree; anything by AC/DC encourages dangerous driving! The earlier the vintage the better.

You beat me to it! Sammy's CD will be the first CD played in the new car when it arrives. In fact, the dealer is making sure they have a fresh copy!

I like the original classic "Mustang Sally" by the late Wilson Pickett.

Pretty much anything by Zep will do it--"Dazed and Confused" and "Enter Sandman" by Metallica isn't too shabby either!

And have to agree with the AC/DC suggestions as well--especially with their first singer (Bon Scott?) Like his vocals better.

I'm with 1080i -- The engine IS the song! ...and my CD player won't accept a disc. :-/

Can't pick just one, so here's a short list of "downshift" tunes.
Led Zeppelin - The Song Remains The Same, Wanton Song, Nobody's Fault
Jimi Hendrix - Stone Free, Ezy Rider, Crosstown Traffic

Hmmm, 90 miles an hour is the speed I drive, tire tracks all across your back....Voodoo Child, (Slight Return) and the ending of Axis Bold as Love with the "phasing". The insturmental version of that song on the BBC Sessions CD compilation is excellent as well...

Others that come to mind...Santana's "Jingo", the Stones "Sympathy for the Devil"

About time to burn another "road" CD

Orchestral theme song from "Back to the Future."

Seriously, when the music swells you'll be looking to tap into your own flux capacitor.
