well, actually, i wanted the 19" Carrera Classic Wheel.

On an S, the wheel upgrade prices are:
(403) 19" Carrera S Wheel $0 (Standard Lobster Wheel)
(405) 19" Carrera Classic Wheel $390 (5-Spoke Non-S Similar Wheel)
(407) 19" Sport Design Wheel $390 (16-Spoke Wheel that most people don't order)
(XRR) 19" Carrera Sport Wheel $650 (10-Spoke Coveted "Sport" Wheel)

Wheel Enhancement will take them in trade (I traded mine there when I got the Chamption RG5's). At the time they gave me $800 for the set - not much, but very easy. I have the feeling by now there may be a lot more supply than demand, so not sure about today's price. There seem to be quite a few listings for Lobster take-off wheels on ebay now, always much cheaper than other wheel variations.

ideally i would have that wheel in Seal Grey, but i'd rather not get it painted after-market, so i guess that's for the next time around

I know someone who is selling a brand new set of the Champion RG19s with brand new Michelin Pilots mounted for $3500. Does anyone know if this is a good price?
