Who is to say they didn't put the #50 plate on it??? But it makes more sense if it is #2 since #1 was for the museum. But.......if I recall correctly, somebody here on this forum was "very proud" and consistenly reminds all that his was #2.

Guess we will have to wait and see what clif has to say in few days.

actually i started #`1 at the alms race in atlanta road atlanta, #50 was built mid december and just arrived at prestige porsche in nyack nanuet ny pepe not my favorite shop for repairs etc. the serial number of my car ends 5050

the only choice i had was interior. originally they were to give away number 1 but the contest was open to canada, california and rest of the states, each has different emissions requirements. so they decided build and use number 1 as the test mule and use number 50 as the sweepstakes car. originally it was to be two toned, black and grey. i actually chose stone grey wihich complements the azurro blue.

the door plates state number 50 of 50 porsche club of america door sills say 911 club coupe. the x51 has middle radiator and some ofthe most beautiful mandrle bent headers. the ps exhaust is simply marvelous rather hear that than the stereo car has tpms cd nav heated sport seats x51 painted console sports chrono plus mats and bose also has free permagrin

Looks like I was correct in my assumption that they placed the plate number on the car regardless when it was built. #50 of 50 is still very cool. Espeecially at that price!

Apparently this was the car his key started, and this car is destined to PCA's museum? So apparently there was no swapping out of the nameplates.

I was showing LVDell that there was apparently no swapping of nameplates. That the key he was given started up #1 which is the car set aside for the museum. His actual car #50 just got built and delivered and he'll pick it up after the little ceremony.
