I actually think the most reasonable solution is for the Porsche family to change their last name to Porsch or, to make it even easier Porsh. Then we wouldn't have trouble with that second syllable arguing whether it's Porsha or Porshaw or whatever.

Actually I don't think they care at all what you call it as long as you keep the checks coming.

Look what americans have done to the english language, that's been bastardized too...
Think about it.

Cheques.

See? One bastardization of the english language right there that has become common - Same with americans spelling 'colour' without the 'u'.
Sorry to single you out boolala

Oh no, not that weird British spelling in the U.S.

Next thing you know we'll be measuring engine displacement in liters rather than cubic inches.

Where will it stop?

Like I said, it's not a problem with being able to pronounce it correctly, as though there were difficulty with the foreign tongue here.

And it's not a problem unique to Americans. The Brits mispronounce it too! As well as all other English speaking peoples, presumably.

Why do we, Americans, say "Z" instead of "Z-ed" like the rest of the world?

Por-sche = 2 syllables

What's bad is I have seen it spelt wrong as well such as "Porche" and "Porsch"

Listen to how it's pronounced in this video:

You mean as in pronouncing the letter "Z"?

In English, as we all know, the letter Z is pronounced "zee". Are you saying that non-English speakers when trying to pronounce the letter Z in English will say "zeed"? ... But you're not trying to say that Brits (a group of non-Americans in the rest of the world) pronounce Z "zeed" are you?

Yeah in Germany Z spoken in English is "zeed". I don't know...I do know first time i heard it I was confused! Don't the Brits say "zeed" as well?

That 911 in Signal Orange is RUF's RT12 in "Blot Rot" (Blood Red) and yes it's an awesome ride.

To be honest with you Jeff, I haven't seen the clip yet. Can't download here at work - vids are blocked. I'll have to wait until I get home. I was taking you at your word that you were pronouncing Porsche the way the Germans do, which we've heard via a vid earlier in this thread.

Are you saying that anyone who takes you at your word has either got to be drunk or nuts? ... And you know I'm not nuts.
