Big mistake on both counts IMO.

Then the safe driver chip implant in your brain malfunctions and you get a shock when you buckle it. Sounds about right.

TPMS and dimming mirrors now added to the spec for March.

If you've been rained on with the roof down in your cab, don't expect to get the faulty brain chip fixed under warranty, either

Mandatory TPMS what hogwash.

Legislators. Someone once described what they do as akin to making sausage. You really don't want to watch the process either...

I'm amazed we aren't legislated to death! Which reminds me of a Jay Leno Tonight Show favorite headline: "Lead-Line Coffins Deemed Hazard To Health"

Wow,--maybe we can stop that, too!

Oh yeah, at teh last minute they also sleazily tack on totally unrelated less-complicated less "noticeable" laws to legislation that's just about to get passed.

Like grabbing a magazine at the checkout stand and slipping it in your bag after you already paid for everything.

LOL ... An '83 Ford LTD! ... I can see why you wouldn't pull up to a PCA meeting driving that thing.

You can also see why I'm looking for a 928
It was a fine car for what it was - a first car. But it's time for it to go. Reliable as hell though, and my sister bounced it off a concrete barrier at 40mph and it was just a medium sized dent in my bumper and some scarring on the rubber bumperette. Your car would have crumpled. They sure don't build em' like they used to.

On another note I'm now accepting donations for the "Brett needs a Porsche" fund, all forms of currency accepted

Okay on the original thread...The final word from the dealer is NO it is not possible to retrofit. While they say they can easily put on the sensors, they aren't able to (or don't know how to) get the PCM or Instrument Cluster to read the signal, they say that if you don't order it from the factory the wiring harnesses etc..will not allow them to put it in after.

Please explain this comment. Are you saying that it was standard on the car?

AFAIK the wheels have a different part # for TPMS equipped cars. I'm not positive but I don't think the OEM wheel sensors will fit your wheels.
