Any Advice?
Anybody with a little advice for this little problem.My rear passenger window seems to make a cracking noise,It is coming from were the rubber seal surrounding the window is.Basically it is coming from the bottom part of the seal.Any advice on what I could maybe fit between the seal and the window to keep it from moving.Thanks for the help!

if it's a 997, this is a warranty issue. the dealer can fix it. almost all the 996's got this prob. there's a TSB on 996's. maybe 997 has similar issue?

The best sealant would be polysulphide available at boat supply (called "Boatlife"). It is rubber and has good compressive and elastic properties (used in teak deck seams). Another good thing about using it here? It has minimal adhesive properties, i.e. is will be fairly easy to remove, almost like a grommet. That said; go to dealer and have them fix it!!!

Here's the solution: 996's and 997's sometimes creak as you drive over uneven road surfaces. It happens on the rear side-glass rubbing against a bolt or screw. Dealer can install shims which raise the glass slightly, which eliminates this annoying noise. If yours creaks, get the shims - asap! Mine was fixed at Porsche of North Scottdale.
