There are pics (not great ones though) of a Lapis car here The Exchange
Search on 2005 cars. It has sand leather and Carerra classics though.

You definitely need to see it in person to witness the complexity of the color.
Mine is midnight metallic blue and when it's dark it appears dark blue/black, in direct bright sunlight it almost has a deep purple tint to it. There is no substitute for seeing it in person. I was looking for a Lapis Blue Carrera, but I found this car with all the options that I wanted except the color, but when I went to see it, I thought the color was AWESOME-but difficult to keep clean.
Good luck.
I don't consider myself a porshcefile (sp??) and before I went to Petit LeMans and got to see one in person and started reading Excellence Magazine, I had no idea what the hell the Club Coupe was or why they decided to make them all that color.
Is still don't know what people are discussing on this forum half the time. If I want to get really confused, I start browsing the 996 Turbo thread.

dmac,
Thanks for the pics, your car looks great. I saw a midnight blue cab on the floor of my local dealeship and it too was stunning. I've only had two P cars, a Boxster S and my C4 Cab, I guess I'm not qualified yet to be a Porschephile....

And you really wouldn't have to be a Porschephile (which I don't claim to be) to know about the Club Coupe. Keeping up with current events in the automotive world would have sufficed.

Ben, I know the club coupe was made for the PCA which I am a member. I didn't know about the special color. Now I know!

I had a Lapis Blue Boxster S for a few years. It can look very nice, but I don't think I would get it again. I can't really explain why, but it may be a color you would tire of, so I would definitely find a way to see it in person and think hard before ordering it.

Yeah the car that convinced me that I must own a 911 one day was this 2002 C2 Cab that my local dealership loaned me for 24 hours. It was Lapis Blue and I was convinced I'd buy it exactly as show, but the Lapis Blue and the Blue top both wore old over the years.

The pics here don't quite do it justice, but generally speaking, in comparison to other metallics, the metal flakes are larger and really make a striking difference in the appearance.
