Question Torx screw for rear license plate

On my 2006 997s, the two lower torx screws which hold the rear license plate frame to the license plate base both fell off. They were not gripping properly. I think this may be due to the thickness of my non-standard license plate frame. I need some torx screws which are a little bit longer, perhaps 7/8". These screws are not easy to find and I have been to several fastener suppliers.

Does anyone know where I can get these torx screws for my application? Thanks.

I got mine from a service tech at my dealership. Ask your service department, they should have them. After all, that's what they use for installing plates. And they have several sizes too. Btw, he gave them to me at no charge.

If you stripped the holes, you may need larger diameter fasteners. I've noticed at retail auto supply stores in their specialty hardware (for trim and body panels) they have bubble packs containing these screws with the coarse thread design for plastic.
