yep, i'm that guy. it came in last week (thursday) i went to the dealer during their cayman launch. sales manage said "you come to see your car?" i was surprised. then i went back to see it again (and again) some knucklehead opened drivers door into the metal fence busting off the clear coat on doors outside edge. i was more than a littel pissed. suggested to GM that car needs to be prepped and put on sales floor and locked. paint thanks to eric the plug guy is only just available. delivery postponed due to need for pag pcna to have press conference. i did drive it today finally 15 miles wow, what a car 4th porsche 2nd 911

and you believe your salesman?

Have we learned nothing? Refer to the Pinnochio thread to hear all the great claims these guys make. Besides, if you really beleive that a salesman has the scoop on a paint color being available in the future I can't wait to see what else you believe from that guy.

There is a reason they say money can buy just about ANYTHING. And this is no exception. If it is NOT going to ever be offered, there are other options. 1) Paint to Sample...but needs to be approved. and 2) Professional re-paint since the paint is available now (as evidence by Eric at Bumperplugs).

I bet you sit there and throw a wad of cash down on porsche exclusive's desk, they'd back up pretty fast.

Porsche will not paint certain Porsche family colors for any amount of money. This color is not one of them, so you can expect that it will surface,--but in a few years if someone wants it badly enough.

I think it's neat that the winner is online here! Congratulations! (You won my car).

Dan
