I just checked it out, it seems like the rubber part that surrounds the watch is glued in place. I just won't wear it much.

That's too bad. But I think it'll hold up well over time, especially if you add a little tire dressing every now and then (I'm serious) to keep the UV rays from degrading the compound and the surface from drying out and developing hairline cracks. That's certainly one way to increase tread life.
