I hear that they "chip" it to go only up-to 20mph and limit RPM. Only when it arrives at dealers the chip is removed and the correct one shipped with the car is inserted.
This is true; it is removed when Dealer does the PDI.

I could be wrong but back in August (the 26th) when I ordered mine it was from the dealer's November allocation. Many of us has their build dates moved earlier into October. Rightly or wrongly, I sort of took this to mean that orders were less than what Porsche had anticipated. Now, if my specious reasoning was correct, it seems that orders have exceeded demand and they are falling somewhat behind. Any opinions or comments?
