Default Air suspension for 997

I have a lowered 997s with the front aerokit causing scraping problems because of the 4" clearance. I'm considering installing an air bag suspension kit in the front so I can control the height of my car. At a push of a button, I can temporarily raise the car up to 5" to clear speed bumps or ramps. The down side is that I lose my trunk space because of the compressor and air tank. I'm told the performance of the suspension will be equal to the H&R springs and additional weight in the front is about 15lbs. I believe the Lambos have this system, as well as kids that like to pimp their hondas to make them rock and bounce. What do you guys think?

You need a job on Comedy Central......That is the one reason an aero kit is not wise in my eyes...my lowered 997 will scrape and i dont have the lower front end.....

Not very functional.

How about going back to the stock springs?

It sounds like you may need the special RUF sports suspension, which can be lifted hydraulically into a 50 millimeter higher position in order to get more ground clearance for easier parking and garage entrances.

It may cost you some big $$$$, but you would solve your immediate problem.

You should obviously go to a full hydraulic setup and make the front end hop at redlights.

Don't bag your Porsche. It will not handle like H&Rs and is not a Porsche mod whatsoever.

Go with the RUF, two friends of mine have had it (both moved up to Carrera GT's) on their Turbos and just raved about it!

You'll need it for that Ala Moana parking lot entrance on the bay side..

I will be in Honolulu in January. You should take me for a ride if you get the Ruf suspension. I promise to fairly and accurately report my observations to this forum.
