How about a 2002 Subaru WRX with 7500 miles (yes, that little) and a few light mods (Prodrive wheels, NurSpec cat back, S/S brake lines....)? You would still need snow tires though...

Go one even better-- get a used Audi S4. I kept my 2001 S4 (GIAC chipped to 320 HP) when I bought my S Cab in June. They can be had for about 17-20K. Great car, and a tank in winter with Dunlop Winter Sport M2s.
