Question does the steering feel different on the 4S vs the S??

for those who have driven both the s and the new 4s, is the steering feel and handling on the road different on the s vs the 4s??? i know with the old 4s, the steering felt heavier and less responsive to me...the new 4 wheel drive system is supposed to be less intrusive and feel more like rwd most of the time...its also lighter than the old version.. what do you guys think???

I really dig mine...the steering is a little heaver than my 996, but the thing corners like it is on rails!

I just drove them both back to back along a very twisty road. A launch model C4S and a 2000mile C2S. The steering on the 4 is heavier and the whole front end feels less lively than the 2. You can notice the difference. Which is better ? It probably comes down to personal choice and driving style. The 2 feels more like a classic 911, the 4 feels a bit more secure. I'm probably in the minorty, but the phatt hips are not a deciding factor...I actually prefer the look of the 2.

Damn...I still can't decide which to order !!

yes , i have read previous posts, but given that the c4s has just arrived at most showrooms, few people have had the previlege to drive the 2 and the 4 back to back until recently......

Drove both. C4S tracks wonderfully but feels slightly heavier (?slower) to me. C2S felt more livelier. It may be matter of personal preference and I preferred and ordered a C2S

Drive a C4S today and then rode in a C2S ten minutes latter...

I guess it is what you are used too. With the roads dry I perfered the C2S as it gave better feedback.

Both felt like they were on rails!

Perhaps if there were more crud on the road or it was wet the C4S would have won me over, but for today's driving, the C2S was the "Bomb"!

i would predict the same thing from previous 4 wheel drive cars i have driven...but the new p car system is supposed to be less intrusive....btw, which dealership did you go to for your test drive??? i live very close to you...potomac....

Right here at Rockville. My 997 Club Coupe should be here in a week (arrives in port Monday) and while I was down there talking to my sales guy, their 997 C4S just arrived. Oh yea!
