X-51 should not delay 4S order
I've been told by my dealer that the X-51 option should not delay my 4S build in december. His quote, "I talked to (name removed) at Porsche Cars North America and he said that there should be no delay on the X51 Package. He said since all the engines are built for “just in time” production there should be no delay."
Many have posted that you go to the back of the line when you order X-51. Is my dealer just telling me what I want to hear?

my understanding is that dealers have a limited number of X51 allocations which are different from the standard allocations. If there is an allocation spot available at the time of your order for the X51, then you should be good to go without delay.
