Front rim on rear?

Front rim on rear?
Just walked out of my office and found a flat rear tire (it's 11PM here now).
Instead of screwing with the goo or getting the car towed over to the dealer (which is only 5 miles away), I was wondering if I could mount a front rim and tire on the rear just to get it over to the dealer (I have an extra front wheel thanks to a pothole encounter a couple of weeks ago).
So does anyone know if the front rim will clear the brakes properly on the rear?
Thanks,
Bill

It's still sitting in the parking lot at work. Having a hard time finding anyone with the tire in stock (both nearby dealers out) and no one has answered my question about using the front rim on the rear.
Does anyone know if the front rim will fit on the rear?

Thanks for the answer Baboou. I ultimately was able to get use of a coworker's Boxster screw jack and lug wrench so I just took the tire off and had it patched. I will order a new set of tires and have them replaced when I get back from my business trip. The Boxster has a nice little spare tire and kit (and it still has more trunk space). It's a shame the 997 doesn't have the same thing. I was really surprised to find that the four P-dealers nearest to me didn't have the Pirelli's in stock (not that I wanted to pay their inflated prices anyway).

Tire Rack is the exclusive distributor for Porsche tires in North America. All the dealers, (Porsche and non Porshce) have to buy the tires from them. The tires will have a N1, N2 etc. on the tire sidewall designating them Porsche exclusive.
I would recomend that you call Tire Rack directly and order your tire and have it drop shipped to your dealer.
PS I replaced the Pirelli's on my 997S with Michelin PS2's when the car had about 400 miles on it. I am extremely happy with the change.

I heard, too, that several new owners were buying the 996 space-saver spare just to be covered. I know it's been years since I had a blowout but it's one of those tougher things to get over.
I guess I need to put that on my list of stuff to get at the Werks' I parts department.
