yea ... this stuff is absolutely incredible gets out anything and yet is not abrasive ...

Isn't there some method using vinegar and water? Saw it here sometime back.

Vinegar will get the water spots out but NOT the etching.

I have had success with a product by Zep (sold Home Depot), bathroom tub tile cleaner. It is certainly acidic, less so than CLR, and it should be used on a wet chamois with gentle, but thorough massage. I would recommend thorough rinsing as well, within one minute of application. This product is also great on glass of course.
