You know you're a Porsche driver when....

There is nothing wrong with saving the window sticker! Its "historical reference" and history is a big part of ownership in cars of this sort. No one wants to buy a car down the road with no history! (thats the excuse, its really because we are obsessive and love to hoard all kinds of stuff about our cars!)
HAHA...you should see what I have framed of my car! Actually as a gift one year someone got a painting made of my car from a picture they took from my refrigerator! (how did I not notice???) (oh yeah...and um...when you have more pics of your car on the refrigerator...haha...self explanatory!)
I see these cars as artwork on wheels! Someone penned everything on these vehicles. It was fully conceived in someones mind. Whats so different than say a sculpture or artwork? Nothing! So i feel proud to decorate my walls with such accomplishments of mankind!
(you learn to ignore the strange looks and raised eyebrows after a while of pulling that explanation)

Damn, my Rockville dealer is kinda stingy, but my Salesperson really ROCKS and thus more than makes up for the dealership.
It's amazing how a relationship with your sales person can overcome a sub par dealer, but I've got to admit, they are getting better....

I bought my car used from a pCar dealer [it was his personal car] and he gave me 2 Porsche brake disc keychains! [Probably like friggen $20 ea, but free to me]. Oh, and the older water pumpers [968/944/924] and I think 928s have the key in the normal place

I also got free car mats since they were not available yet for the Bose option (the Bose option requires a special mat on the passenger side since the floor layout is different).
I guess I am lucky - I got a bunch of freebies. This is relatively speaking, of course.

Yes, the 924/944/968 key is on the right, not the left. BUT, this is because the parking brake is on the left side instead of the right. So its still the same principle of using both hands to disengage the brake and start the car at once. Just switched around. I still like it better on the left. You can easily insert your key from outside the car if you are working on something.
