On an aside I am a big M3 fan, any pictures? I am actually doing a Dinan SC on one today.

Sure. Here's one of my favorite track photos, T17 around Sebring:

And an interior shot:

I know a guy with a Dinan s/c on an E36 M3; he's very happy with it. Looks like a good kit.

Yeah, this will be our first for the E46, should be interesting to say the least. Beautiful car, very well executed. Stupid question, but have you removed the cdv from your m?

Really? A Dinan supercharger on an E46 M3? That's amazing. I didn't think anyone was actually going to spend $30k on their blower. I'd like to hear your impressions of the part and the final result. Who's the customer? Dinan has some nice stuff, but pricey for what you get.

I have removed the CDV. Well worth it. Easy removal process.

$30k!!! I wish I could charge 30K. The supercharger is also sold as a standalone kit that only requires the exhaust. $14,800 installed. A little easier to swallow that pill. Very well thought out kit, you can tell that Steve has been working on this for a few years now. I figured as much on the CDV, but you would be amazed at how many M owners have no clue of that.

I've been told that you can't supercharge a GT3, to much compression. Engine couldn't take it. Any opinions?

Yes, too much compression with the engine as is, but you could swap out the pistons, etc. Almost cheaper/easier/less headaches to just buy a 3.6 Turbo motor from Porsche in my opinion rather then all the work on that GT3 block to turbo it (that is considering you sell your GT3 engine to help supplement the costs of the 3.6 turbo)...

Easy to Turbo the new 997 3.6, haven't heard about any kits for the 997S 3.8.

I would think that GT3 is more than powerful as is with out any turbo really needed?

I have not seen a supercharger for the GT3, but Evolution Motorsports is finish up a turbo GT3 conversion that is rumored to be generating 1000+ hp.

decided on leaving the supercharger alone. got too worried about warrantee issues/resale. just put a deposit on a CL 65 to cure my drag racing urges and i'll keep the 997s for cutting up the curves. thanks for your input guys.
