Those clear corners really look the part against the blue! I bet that car must be awesome to drive and hear! I have only briefly heard the new 997S and it sounded like Porsche was back to the way it should be...hearing it with X51 & PSE must be something else!

Do you know of any fun p-car get togethers in the area? I live in Clearwater. I would love to see that X-51 in person with the blue.
Also, if you are not already a member, you may want to consider joining the PCA. The Suncoast Region has a ton of get togethers. Unfortunately, with a wife, two kids and too many hobbies I never seem to be able to get to any of them.

Let us know how the X51 drives. I wish I had the opportunity to order it. Wasn't available at the time. Have to say I'm jealous. At leat I have the sport chrono with the "S". Ride it like a "banshee." Good luck with it and break it in well.

Congrats on the new toy. Looks great!! Cobalt is one option worth paying for.

BTW do you mind posting the paint code for the Cobalt blue paint. It appears there may be three different codes. Same base paint with slight variation in tint.

Drive it in good health.

oof! the red car with black wheels looks really good. I'm a sucker for factory-painted wheels.

It's striking to me how much nicer Cobalt is compared to Lapis. My sister has a Lapis Cayenne, and I think it's kind of fruity, but Cobalt has this great 'right-there' look to it. Your car looks great, Aerosmith. Suncoast PCA track events are lots of fun. There's a DE at Sebring the weekend of 11/12-13; I'm hoping my 997 will be here by then; try to make it out!

[QUOTE=AeroSmith] "I absolutely love the note from the PSE. It's adictive. Unfortunately it's just getting good at about 4k RPM."

Ahhh, Aerosmith - you have more to look forward to, as the PSE sound develops into a much deeper, richer note as it becomes "broken in". Congratulations on your purchase!

Default She sure is pretty!!!

That Power Kit is the ticket! I can't wait to see her in person

I bet she's hungry after being on that boat for a month.

Do you think she'd like some fish and chips?

Meet Kirk and I at "the spot" for lunch tomorrow so we can drool on her.

I believe that Cobalt blue is under paint code 37U. Is that the same as the other two?

Congrats on your latest acquistion! I really can't wait for mine to arrive! I ordered my Turbo in Cobalt blue too and I still have yet to see one in person! I only saw Cobalt on a 997C2S and a Cayman and they both looked STUNNING in person! Drive yours in good health!

I have never understood the appeal of the "model designation delete" option. Could someone explain?

Oh, and gorgeous car. Congrats and enjoy!

Wow, this is an old thread. Brings back fond memories from last October.

I think the model designation delete is a personal preference thing. I like the clean unfettered look of the rear without the model designation. It also makes that area much easier to wax. And in a way, it's kind of stealthy. Not only do the uninitiated not know what it is but no one can tell there's a 3.8 liter X-51 inside. Mwahahahahahahahaha.

I agree. Personally, I didn't like the silver "Carrera S" script on my otherwise stealthy car so I ordered my car without. I've since added a black "911" logo which I like much better. To each his own I guess.
