So you had a car with oil temperature gauge in your past, you said you didn't!

In 911s up to 993s, thermostat is in front of the right side rear wheel, I'm not 100% sure but I don't think it's never been inside the front fender.

IMO I think it's good 997 has it, good way to monitor the engine's "health" if you're at the track or otherwise driving as it's meant to be.

That's what the guage is for...look at it from time to time and try not to let it get too hot...

I wish my 996 GT3 had an oil temp gauge...
