Ordered a new 997s Cab
Hi all,
My name is Oz. I ordered a 997s Cab on August 16, 2005. A couple of days later, my sales person mailed back an order form with the price and options. I have not heard anything else since.
Could some of you “waiters” provide some incite as to how the process works. I understand that my car should be here in December.
Any comments would be very appreciated.
Thanks.

Call back once or twice a month until you are given a build date and then the real fun begins. First the ONVESL date, then the PDI check, then delivery. Your baby is here. Until then go to rentech.org, download the manual, start reading it, order some accesories to pass the time, and read GT Purely Porsche, or the new 911 magazine until you sit in your new creation. Take care and good luck.

At the very least, the dealer should provide you with the Porsche Pro Forma Order form which will itemize the car and all the options and have a specific order no. that stays with the car throughout the build/delivery process. This form comes from PCNA, not the dealer. Without the pro forma order, there's no proof that the dealer has even placed the order with Porsche and had it accepted.
