C2S-X51 CMPPRD....Now ONVESL!
Guys!
I am absolutely beside myself! My Cobalt Blue Metallic C2S 6-speed with X51 Carrera Power Package was completed on September 20th!
What is truly amazing is that I ordered the car on August 19th. My dealer, Bert Smith Eurocars here in Saint Petersburg, had an October build slot for me. But production was moved up to September 26th. Well, those German boys just beat that by a week! Did I get lucky or what?
This may end up being one of the first X51s to land on these shores. I cannot wait to give my fellow Rennlisters my initial impressions. I'm getting pumped!
Wooooooooooooo Hoooooooooooooo!

Congratulations AeroSmith. Now I will have to get the headers, cats, mufflers, intake, and flash so I can stay ahead . . . or order the GT3.

That is freaking AWESOME man. Better take some pills now...you'll need meds to get through the next 4-6 weeks.

You know...it may be hard to drive that car due to lack of sleep the first week it arrives. Better rest up now before it gets here!
When you see that color parked outside your house, and then you feel that car move...you just won't know what to do with yourself! It's too much perfection to take in at once! Enjoy it, and don't forget to take a bunch of pictures!

Wait til you see yours! Especially at night. Cobalt takes on a REDICULOUSLY beautiful hue in low lighting that makes the car just...you just can't stop looking! There is a reason they brought the color back and now use it as their show color again.
Go to the Porsche website and look at the wallpaper in the Cayman section. There is a cobalt Cayman shot at night by a river standing still. Its a great picture showing off the new cobalt. They used artificial lighting in the picture though. It will give you an idea of whats coming though!

I do recommend you clear mask your car however, Cobalt is a very hard paint to keep up if something happens. You cannot touch it up to blend no matter what. Its a multistage, and touchup paint is one stage. When it chips, it goes white. The touch up will always be a dark spot against the highly metallic finish.
Just to let you know! But its soooooooo worth it!

ONVESL
Guys, this is almost too good to be true. My car is ONVESL as of today, 9/26. She's coming over on the Atlixco. She should be at my dealer in 10 to 15 days. Somebody pinch me.

This is the hardest part of the wait. Trust me.
Now is the time to order $1,000 of cleaning and detailing products, a car cover, new sunglasses, and a new V1 detector. :-)
