I am at just under 18,600 miles. Today, a new indicator appeared: service in 300 miles.

I know that I am supposed to do a service at 20,000 miles. Is the car telling me I need to do it at 18,900 instead or is it giving me an early warning to do it at 20?

I looked through the manual carefully, but it wasn't much help. Maybe it has to do with my driving style?

 

From what I've been told at the dealer the regular service is "supposed" so be around 20,000 but can vary depending on your driving style and the climate you are in.
