Default Pics of Cabrio with Hardtop On

I'd appreciate it if someone could post pics of a 997 cab with the hardtop on. I've got a potential deal on a 996 hardtop which will fit the 997 and is a lot less than what Porsche is charging for the hardtop option on the 997. I'd like to see how the 997 looks with the hardtop. TIA.

997 and 996 use the same hardtop? Are you sure?

Yeah, I don't think they are interchangeable. Better check it.

And if memory serves me, on the 996 later years, if the cab was not ordered with the hardtop, it had none of the necessary sockets in the rear to accept one. Not sure if they pulled that stunt on the 997s.

old ones may very well fit it.

on the 986, they won't because the windows were changed, but on the 997 it doesnt look like it. (since, as you guys may recall, the roof wasn't changed on the 997)

My dealer told me they do in fact fit, you simply require new fastening hardware to attach the two bolts above the rear seats. I left mine at dealer to sell as I will be putting mine away at dealer, they had a ton of them available old and some new. Apprarently not many local buyers want them if they got them on teh old 996's.

I was told by Porsche that the 996 tops do fit; the only thing that needs to be changed is the mounting hardware. And, the 997 cabs come with the rear sockets. My car has them even though I didn't order the top. In fact, the allen wrench for locking the top was in the glovebox.
