Just picked up my 06 997 S!
Wow! I took delivery of my first p-car today after months of waiting for my order to arrive. I have been waiting for this day for a very long time and have had many sleepless nights and wonderful day dreams just thinking about owning this machine.
The guys at Carlsen NorCal were great and they actually have some 2006 cabs and coupes available if anyone is looking. I had the clar bra installed at the dealer and immediatley replaced the yellow side markers. Tomorrow I will be at Sharkwerks for the H&R suspension install which will greatley enhance the appearance and kill the wheel well gap. Similar to my old habbits with modding my GS400, I am now addicted to modding this car!!
Whoo hooo! I will say, however, that the 4200 RPM break in "tip" is killing me. The car really starts to open up at 4K and its so damn tempting....well, I actually tried 5K once but don't tell anyone
Here are some pics from today and over the weekend I will post some pics with the H&Rs....

Congrats! Nice looking car! I'm glad your wait is finally over! Don't break her in too gently, though. Exercise her occasionally by varying the speed and RPMs. It will help the rings "seat" better. Thanks for sharing the pics. Looking forward to next pics with the H&R suspension installed.

Just give her...I for one do not believe in the 4200 break in period, Have you seen how they test these things...I am sure they keep it under 4200 RPM....Right.Great looking car, I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy mine.

Just curious why did you go with Carlsen in Redwood City if you are in San Jose? I am in Los Angeles area and deal with Steven's Creek in San Jose.

Great car and pics. I brought home my first Porsche yesterday so I know how you feel. I just got my clear side markers mailed today so you beat me to the first mod.
I bought a 02 C4 cab, so no break in for me. I had it pretty darn close to 7000 rpm on several occasions. You must have great will power!
