Default Took delivery of my 2006 997S!

Awesome!, Just came back from taking delivery of my black/black 997C2S. What a great car! This is my 3rd 911 and IMO it is the best by far! I'll try to post some pics tonight.
A couple of points about the 2006 which might interst some of you:
- Passenger seat now has smart airbags that deactivate when it senses that a small person or child is occupying that seat so no more airbag deactivation kit for around $1K!!!!!!

- The sunroof has a new style wind deflector with triangular wholes in it to reduce wind buffeting.

- The new S comes standard with 385HP instead of 355HP !!!

.... Just Kidding! power is the same but I figured I get a rise out of someone for at least 3 seconds

Anyway thanks to Larry Reinolds from Champion in Fort Lauderdale for being a great P-car sales person and for all of the free goodies!! and thanks to everyone here on Rennlist for all of the knowledge!

Awesome!!! Love the color and wheel choice. My 997S should be here any day now...I can't sleep anymore. The toughest thing will be trying to get through the 2K break-in without passing 4K RPM! Ouch!!!! Owell.....I will get over it real quick!!

Congrats on the new ride!

Nice looking car. Now get the clear side markers and finish it off.
Congratulations.

NoSubEDU,
I agree with all thats been said, your car is indeed beautiful... and, I think that the amber side markers look great , especially on your black and tan combination.

Stunning. Best of luck with it. Oh yeah, we've got the clears if you need 'em.

Thanks guys! Eric, already got the door plug and clear markers from ya.

Dealer was supposed to install them but "forgot". It's ok. I tried myself but just couldn't seem to get the spring out. So i gave up and figured I'd give it a shot another time.

Car is sweet! LoL, just can't think of enough reasons to drive the car.

See Page 229 of your manual for instructions on replacing the side markers. It's a snap!

Freebies besides negotiated discounts:

Sport Chrono for $500.00 instead of $ 920.00 - Larry insisted I ordered that. I couldn't get a test drive in one to see if it was worth it but I'm glad he made me take it, the car is different (better!) when you push the sport button!
Porsche OEM clear side markers - I didn't ask for them, Larry Reynolds simply said it was a must and he replaced them for me and also gave me the amber ones in case I want them in the future.
Porsche keychain
Porsche Polo Shirt
Porsche hat
