Bright colors and unwanted attention

Your question is a good one.
Yellow -- Last month I sold my 2001 Millenium Yellow Z06 that I ordered in yellow. The main reason I sold it is because I got sick of the bright, loud color that announced my presence wherever I went. I used the car as a weekend driver during summer only, driving it only about 3,000 miles per summer. I loved the color when I ordered it, but after a few years, it wore on me.
Red -- I have owned two red cars in my life, and BOTH were keyed. In college I had a red Mustang 5.0 that was keyed. And later in life, I had a red ZR-1 that was keyed.
A good friend of mine had his red '99 C4 Cab keyed last summer.
The summer before that, my uncle's red Lexus was keyed.
That same summer, my sisters red T-bird was keyed.
Lastly, my cousin's wife has a red VW Passat that was keyed.
I'm telling ya, there's something about red cars that brings out the worst in people who see them. Maybe it's some kind of instinctual behavior programmed inside us human animals that "blood" red brings out. At any rate, I now no longer buy red or yellow cars.
I like silver, I like grey, I like black.

Porsches are targets. I have had cops pull me over out of hundreds of cars, angry commuters, etc. I even had someone pull a gun on me (in a 993) about 10 years ago.
The color doesn't matter.

Think about this, what color are most Firetrucks (Yellowish) and what color did they always used to be?(Red) You can bet someone did alot of research as to which color is most visable. I had a bright yellow 1970 Z28, it looked really great and drew lots of attention, as I would think a Speed Yellow Porsche would as well. I love the color but don't think I could live with it on a daily basis.

Speaking of red & yellow drawing attention...
Speaking of red & yellow drawing attention, a while back a coworker brought some of his toys to work for us car freaks to gwak at (actually he was also using it to raise money for charity by offering rides and such). Anyway, here are some of his red & yellows and they DEFINITELY draw attention. Next time I see him I'll have to ask if he's gotten tickets in any of these (each one has CHP11-99 plates).
I believe he also has a Carrera GT. So jealous.

OK, you guys are making me nervous about my Speed Yellow Cab . Anyway, I think I've seen a lot more Yellow cars then before (I live in the Bay Area)...Boxter, S 2000, Mazda 6 (?), Corvette, trucks. As long as I don't drive like an a**, I think I should be fine.
