suppose i lose...1300 miles since late sept...haven't had the weekend time and the traffic around d.c. is sooo bad (bumper to bumper, stop-go, stop-go and rear end "taps" are common) that i'm afraid to commute with it. love it when i do have the chance to drive it though...still debating about keeping it given my inability to drive it as much as i would like which is also keeping the milage low...

I wouldn't be worried. If properly broken in these cars can easily not burn any oil. My 2003 996 burned a half of quart in the first 2,000 miles. From 2,000 to 13,500 it hasn't burned a drop.
