1600 in my 997 since May 14th - loving every single mile! This is the best car I have ever owned. I was impressed with the Boxster, then I bought a 2003 996 and loved that but the 997 - this is the baby!

You guys are spoiled, very rich, or love delayed gratification. I put 13,500 in 5 months....my seat is getting worn out....the rest of you barely drive the car....what's wrong with this picture? Is it me? Come on....drive the car!! Enjoy!

4700 miles now (5 months) and the oil indicator has not budged. I wonder if it's broken or if this is normal. I redline this thing almost every day I don't understand the lack of measurable oil consumption.

From previous experience and my new 997 I would expect a quart every 500 to 1000 miles. I would personally bring it to a dealer ASAP. Just my opinion.
