While that Jaguar XK prototype is similar to the Aston Martin V8 Vantage, they don't share a chassis like the current XK8 and the old DB7 (they both had their own modified Jaguar XJS chassis).
The next Jaguar XK will use the new XJ's aluminum chassis. Its grille is inspired by the 1961 Jaguar E-Type. The next Jaguar XK will have a hatch like the E-Type. I like how the tail tapers off like the current XK. The next XK will need a more blunt front bumper to comply with new European pedestrian safety regulations. The 2005 Jaguar Super V8, the XJ flagship weighs over 800 pounds less than a BMW 760Li. It is shown below.
I can't stand the rear of that BMW M6.

Or, maybe AM is trying to give Cadillac some ideas to throw them off?

Fantastic pictures... thanks for posting.
That orange/blue 997 has got to be very unique car... I mean, orange?... with blue guts? Wow. I can't image a dealer ordering one and hoping to sell it! It does look kind of cool in orange tho.
